Volunteer
City Neighbors Hamilton is structured as a family-school cooperative. Family participation is central to the success of the CNH program. By participating fully in our family-school cooperative, you can take satisfaction in the knowledge that you are an integral part of the success of City Neighbors Hamilton.
Each family is required to:
• contribute 40 hours per school year, and
• join at least one school committee.
There are many ways to contribute 40 hours to CNH. There are daily tasks, such as morning greeters, breakfast and lunch assistants, and playground assistants. There are weekly tasks, such as Monday Mailer assistant. There are occasional tasks, such as field trip chaperone and school tour guides. There are even tasks that can be done from home. We need you and your time, talents, skills, and strengths to make CNH vibrant and unique—just like you!
It is your responsibility to fulfill, track, and submit your hours. CNH will provide log sheets. These can also be downloaded from here: Volunteer hours form. You will be sent an update on your progress every trimester. Look for these updates in the Monday Mailer.
